Based in the UAE with a project management trade licence. Board and transformation experience across Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where Vision 2030 is driving demand for exactly this kind of leadership. Ben grew up in Saudi Arabia and understands the Gulf at a level most expatriate executives do not. Food security is a strategic priority across the region, and Milne & Co brings the food safety, regulatory and distribution experience it calls for.
UK, our established market.
Both principals have deep UK operating histories. Ben across City Link, Palletways, UK Mail and Guernsey Post. Joanna across Sodexo, Compass Group, Leathams and Belazu. Three restaurants in East London, and a UK PE and SME network.
Europe.
Ben led pallet network expansion across Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Joanna sourced European food supply chains across Italy, Spain, Germany and France.
Southeast Asia, a growth market.
Fractional C-suite and QSR franchise demand across Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Joanna conducted regular factory visits across Hong Kong, China and India early in her career, which gives clients real Asia sourcing fluency. The region's food manufacturing and export growth maps directly onto both principals' capability.
Africa, a growth market.
FMCG, food retail and cold chain growth across East, West, South and North Africa, with PE and development finance investing in food systems. Ben's experience building a food distribution network from scratch and Joanna's food safety and production depth apply directly to the continent's infrastructure challenges. Particularly relevant to PE and VC ventures in the region.
